Ibrāhīm ibn Mūsā narrated to us, Hishām informed us, from Ma’mar, from Ayyūb, from ‘Ikrimah,

from Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh be content with them both): When the Prophet ﷺ saw the images in the House (the Kaʿbah), he did not enter until he ordered that they be erased, and they were erased. He saw (images of) Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl (peace be upon both of them) with fortune- telling arrows in their hands, and he said: “May Allāh destroy them! By Allāh, they never sought arrows used in fortune-telling at all.”
