Muḥammad ibn Kathīr narrated to us, Sufyān informed us, al-Mughīrah ibn al-Nu’mān narrated to us, who said: Sa’īd ibn Jubayr narrated to me,

from Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh be content with them both), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “You will be gathered barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised.” Then, he recited: {As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it — a promise binding upon Us; indeed, We shall do it.} And he said: “The first to be clothed on the Day of Resurrection will be Ibrāhīm (upon whom be peace). And indeed, some people from among my companions will be taken towards the left side, and I will say: ‘My companions! My companions!’ It will be said: ‘They continued to turn back on their heels (i.e. apostatise) after you parted from them.’ So, I will say as the righteous servant said: {And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them} up to His saying: {the All-Wise}.”
