Mūsā ibn Ismā’īl narrated to us; ‘Abd al-Wāḥid ibn Ziyād narrated to us; al-A’mash narrated to us; from Abū Ṣāliḥ;

from Abū Sa’īd, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Nūḥ (upon whom be peace) and his nation will come, and Allāh Almighty will say, ‘Did you convey (the message)?’ He will say, ‘Yes, O Lord.’ Then, He will say to his people, ‘Did he convey it to you?’ They will say, ‘No, no Prophet came to us.’ He will say to Nūḥ (upon whom be peace), ‘Who will testify for you?’ He will say, ‘Muḥammad ﷺ and his nation.’ So, we will testify that he indeed conveyed (the message). And that is His statement, Glorified be His remembrance: ‘Thus We have made you a middle (just) nation so that you may be witnesses over mankind.’ And al-Wasaṭ (middle) means just.”
