Sahih Al Bukhari 3328

Musaddad narrated to us; Yaḥyā narrated to us; from Hishām ibn ‘Urwah; from his father; from Zaynab bint Abī Salamah; from Umm Salamah:

That Umm Sulaym said: “O Messenger of Allāh, indeed Allāh is not hesitant of the truth. Is ghusl (ritual bathing) required of a woman if she experiences a wet dream?” He said: “Yes, if she sees the fluid.” Umm Salamah laughed and said, “Does a woman have a wet dream?” The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ replied: “Then how does the child resemble (its parents)?”
