(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Sa'id bin Abi Maryam narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Ja'far informed us, he said: Zaid, who is Zaid bin Aslam, informed me, from Iyad bin Abdullah, from Abi Sa'id Al-Khudri, he said that

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ went out toward the Eid ground on Eid Al-Adha or Eid Al-Fitr. He passed by the women and said: O group of women! Give charity, because I have been shown that you are the majority of the people of the Fire. They said: O Messenger of Allāh! Why is that? He said: You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you, who can take away the intelligence of a cautious man. They said: O Messenger of Allāh! What is the deficiency in our religion and our intelligence? He said: Is it not that the testimony of a woman is equal to half the testimony of a man? They said: Why not! He said: This is the deficiency in the intelligence of women. Is it not that when a woman menstruates, she neither prays nor fasts? They said: Why not! He said: This is the deficiency in her religion.
