(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Makki bin Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya bin Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, that Zainab, the daughter of Umm Salamah, narrated to him that Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allāh be pleased with her) narrated to him, she said:

While the Prophet ﷺ was lying down in a checkered patterned cloak, my menses began. I quietly got up, so I took my menstrual clothes. He asked: Has your nifas begun? I said: Yes! He called me, so I lay down with him in the cloak.
