Sahih Al Bukhari 296

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Ibrahim bin Musa narrated to us, he said: Hisham bin Yusuf informed us that indeed Ibn Juraij informed him, he said: Hisham informed me, from Urwah, that indeed he was asked:

Can a menstruating woman serve me, or can a woman in janabah come near me? Urwah said: All these things are easy for me, and my wife serves me in this way, and there is no harm in this for anyone. Hazrat Aisha (may Allāh be pleased with her) informed me that she used to comb the head of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ while she was menstruating, and the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to be in i'tikaf in the mosque; he would bring his head near Hazrat Aisha while she was in her room, so she would comb his head while she was menstruating.
