(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abdullah bin Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Uthman bin Umar narrated to us, he said: Yunus informed us, from Az-Zuhri, from Abi Salamah, from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him), he says that
the prayer was established, and the people stood, and the rows were straightened. Then the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ came out to us, so when he stood at his place of prayer, he remembered that he was in janabah. He said: Stay standing as you are. Then he went and bathed, then came out to us, in a state that water was dripping from his head; so we prayed with him.
Uthman bin Umar has been followed by Abdul A'la, from Ma'mar bin Rashid, from Muhammad bin Muslim Az-Zuhri, and this hadith has been narrated by Abdur Rahman Al-Auza'i, from Muhammad bin Muslim Az-Zuhri.
