(Imam Bukhari narrates that) Ahmad bin Yunus and Musa bin Isma'il narrated to us, both of them said: Ibrahim bin Sa'd narrated to us, he said: Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Sa'id bin Al-Musayyab, from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allāh be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was asked:
Which deed is most excellent? He said: Believing in Allāh and His Messenger. It was asked: Then which deed? He said: Jihad in the way of Allāh. It was asked: Then which? He said: An accepted Hajj.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ: أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ؟ فَقَالَ: إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ. قِيلَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ. قِيلَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ.
