(Imam Bukhari narrates that) Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us, he said: Imam Malik bin Anas informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim bin Abdullah, from his father, that
the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ passed by a man of the Ansar, who was advising his brother regarding modesty. Then the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: Leave him, because modesty is part of faith.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: دَعْهُ فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ.
