Al-Imām al-Bukhārī - upon whom be mercy - narrates: ‘Abdullāh ibn Yūsuf narrated to us; he said: Imām Mālik informed us, from ‘Amr ibn Yaḥyā al-Māzinī,

from his father, that: A man said to ‘Abdullāh ibn Zayd (may Allāh Almighty be content with him)—who is the grandfather of ‘Amr ibn Yaḥyā— “Can you show me how the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ performed Wuḍū’?” He said, “Yes.” Then he called for water and poured it over his hands and washed them twice. Then he rinsed his mouth three times and put water into his nose three times. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his two hands up to the elbows, two times each. Then he wiped his head with both hands, starting from the front of the head, moving them to the back of the head, and then returning them to the place from where he began the wiping. Then he washed his two feet.
