Sub-Chapter (Baab)

Sahih Al Bukhari 162

Al-Imām al-Bukhārī - upon whom be mercy - narrates: ‘Abdullāh ibn Yūsuf narrated to us; he said: Imām Mālik informed us from Abū al-Zinād, from al-A’raj,

from Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah (may Allāh Almighty be content with him), that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “When any one of you performs ablution, let him rinse his nose with water and cleanse it well. And whoever cleans himself using stones should do so an odd number of times. And when one of you awakens from sleep, he should wash his hands before placing them into the vessel of ablution, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night.”
