Al-Imām al-Bukhārī - upon whom be mercy - narrates: ‘Abdullāh ibn Muḥammad related to us; he said: Hāshim ibn al-Qāsim related to us; he said: Warqā’ related to us, from ‘Ubaydullāh ibn Abī Yazīd,
from ‘Abdullāh ibn ʿAbbās - may Allāh Almighty be content with both of them, that the Prophet ﷺ entered the place of relief, and I placed water for his ablution. He ﷺ asked, “Who placed this?” When he was informed, he supplicated: “O Allāh, grant him deep understanding of the religion.”
