Al-Imām Bukhārī narrates: Musaddad narrated to us; he said: Mu’tamir narrated to us; he said: I heard my father say; he said:
I heard Anas ibn Mālik (may Allāh Almighty be content with him) say: It was mentioned to me that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to Muʿādh (may Allāh Almighty be content with him): “Whoever meets Allāh while not associating anything with Him at all will enter Paradise.” Muʿādh said: “Shall I not give the people glad tidings of this?” He ﷺ replied: “No. I fear that they would then rely upon it (and become complacent).”
