Al-Imām al-Bukhārī narrates: Narrated to us by Sa‘īd bin ‘Ufair, who said: Layth narrated to us, who said: ‘Abdul Rahmān ibn Khālid narrated to us from Ibn Shihāb, from Sālim and Abū Bakr ibn Sulaymān ibn Abī Hāshim,
that ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allāh be content with him) said: Near the end of his life, he was led in the ‘Isha’ prayer. When he concluded the prayer with the salaam, he stood up and said: “Tell me, what night is this? For exactly one hundred years after this, none of the people who are on the earth now will remain.”
