(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Qutaibah bin Sa'id narrated the hadith to us, from Imam Malik, from Hisham bin Urwah, from his father, from Hazrat Aishah (Allāh be pleased with her), she narrates that

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ offered prayer in his house, at that time he ﷺ was ill, so he ﷺ led the prayer sitting, and behind him ﷺ the people offered prayer standing, so he ﷺ gestured to them to sit, then when he ﷺ turned towards them, he ﷺ said: "The Imam is appointed only so that he may be followed, so when he performs ruku, perform ruku, and when he raises his head from ruku, raise your head from ruku."
