(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Mu'adh bin Fadalah narrated the hadith to us, he said: Hisham narrated the hadith to us, from Yahya, from Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman bin Thauban, he said: Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (Allāh be pleased with them both) narrated the hadith to me that

the Prophet ﷺ was offering prayer upon his mount, facing towards the east; so when he ﷺ intended to offer the obligatory prayer, he ﷺ would get down from the mount and face towards the Qiblah.
