And Laith added this: he said: Yunus narrated the hadith to me, from Ibn Shihab, he narrated that Salim narrated that
Hazrat Ibn Umar (Allāh be pleased with them both) used to combine and offer the Maghrib and Isha at Muzdalifah. Salim said that Hazrat Ibn Umar delayed the Maghrib prayer; he had been informed of the death of his wife Safiyyah bint Ubaid (he was going for her condolence). I said to him: Offer prayer. He said: Keep going. I said to him: Offer prayer. He said: Keep going. I said to him: Offer prayer. He said: Keep going, until he travelled two or three miles, then he got down from the mount, so he offered prayer, then he said: I have seen it done in this way, when the Prophet ﷺ had to go quickly, he ﷺ used to do it in this way. And Hazrat Abdullah said: I saw, when the Prophet ﷺ had to go quickly, he ﷺ would have the Iqamah called for Maghrib, then offer its three rak'ahs, then turn with salam, then wait a little while, until the Iqamah was called for Isha, then offer its two rak'ahs of prayer, then turn with salam, and he ﷺ would not offer voluntary prayer after Isha until he ﷺ would get up in the middle of the night.
