(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abdullah bin Muhammad narrated the hadith to us, he said: Sufyan narrated the hadith to us, from az-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Hazrat Aishah (Allāh be pleased with her), she said that the prayer was first made obligatory as two rak'ahs, so the prayer of journey remained as it was, and the prayer of residence was made complete. Az-Zuhri said: I asked Urwah: Hazrat Aishah, who used to offer the prayer in full (at Mina), what was the reason for this? He said: Hazrat Aishah (Allāh be pleased with her) made the same interpretation that Hazrat Uthman (Allāh be pleased with him) had made.
