(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Qutaibah narrated the hadith to us, he said: Abdul Wahid narrated the hadith to us, from al-A'mash, he said: Ibrahim narrated the hadith to us, he said: I heard Abdur Rahman bin Yazid, he narrates that
Hazrat Uthman bin Affan (Allāh be pleased with him) led us in a prayer of four rak'ahs at Mina. Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (Allāh be pleased with him) was informed of this, so he said: "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" (Al-Baqarah: ). Then Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud said: I offered a prayer of two rak'ahs at Mina with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, and I offered a prayer of two rak'ahs at Mina with Hazrat Abu Bakr (Allāh be pleased with him), and I offered a prayer of two rak'ahs at Mina with Hazrat Umar (Allāh be pleased with him), so I wish that instead of these four rak'ahs, my share had been two rak'ahs, which are accepted.
