Al-Imām al-Bukhārī narrates: Abū al-Walīd narrated to us; he said: Shu’bah narrated to us; from Jāmiʿ ibn Shaddād; from ‘Āmir ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn al-Zubayr; from his father, who said:
I said to al-Zubayr (may Allāh Almighty be content with him): “I do not hear from you many narrations of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ as so-and-so and so-and-so narrate.” He replied: “I was never separated from him, yet I heard him say: ‘Whoever attributes a lie to me, let him prepare his seat in the Fire.’”
