Sahih Al Bukhari 1063

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Abū Ma'mar narrated to us, he said: 'Abdul-Wārith narrated to us, he said: Yūnus narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Abū Bakrah, may Allāh be pleased with him, he narrated that:

the sun was eclipsed in the time of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, so he went out dragging his lower garment, until he reached the mosque, and the people also rushed to reach him. He led them in two rak'ahs of prayer, then the sun became uncovered. Then he said: The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allāh, and they are not eclipsed because of anyone's death; and when this happens, pray and make du'ā', until it becomes uncovered upon you. And the reason for this was that on that day the son of the Prophet ﷺ, whose name was (Sayyidunā) Ibrāhīm, may Allāh be pleased with him, had died, so the people had said about him (that the sun was eclipsed because of his death).
