Al-Imām al-Bukhārī narrates: ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb narrated to us; he said: Ḥammād narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from Muḥammad, from Abū Bakrah,

from Abū Bakrah (may Allāh Almighty be content with him), that it was mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Indeed, your lives and your wealth—” (The narrator Muḥammad said: I think he also said: “and your honour”) “—are sacred to you, just as the sanctity of this day of yours in this city of yours. Listen! Let the one who is present convey (this message) to the one who is absent.” And Muḥammad (the narrator) used to say: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said this statement in between, and he said twice: ‘Listen! Have I conveyed (the message)?’”
