(Imām Bukhārī narrates): Muhammad ibn al-'Alā' narrated to us, he said: Abū Usāmah narrated to us, from Buraid ibn 'Abdullāh, from Abī Burdah, from Abū Mūsā, may Allāh be pleased with him, he narrated that:
the sun was eclipsed, so the Prophet ﷺ stood up alarmed, fearing that the Hour had come. So he went to the mosque, and he led the prayer with such a very long qiyām, rukū', and sujūd, that I had never seen him leading before. And he said: These are signs which Allāh, Mighty and Glorious, sends; they are not because of anyone's death, nor because of anyone's life, but Allāh frightens His servants by means of them. So when you see any of them, take refuge in the remembrance of Allāh, and du'ā' to Him, and seeking His forgiveness.
