(Imām Bukhārī narrates): 'Abdullāh ibn Maslamah narrated to us, from Imām Mālik, from Yahyā ibn Sa'īd, from 'Amrah bint 'Abdur-Rahmān, from 'Ā'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, she narrates that:

a Jewish woman came to her and asked; she said to her: May Allāh protect you from the punishment of the grave. So 'Ā'ishah, may Allāh be pleased with her, asked the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ: Will people be punished in their graves? So the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, seeking refuge from it.
