Sub-Chapter (Baab)

Sahih Al Bukhari 1040

(Imām Bukhārī narrates): 'Amr ibn 'Awf narrated to us, he said: Khalid narrated to us from Yunus from al-Hasan from Abu Bakrah, he said

we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then the sun was eclipsed, so the Prophet ﷺ got up, dragging his lower garment. He entered the mosque, so we also entered, so he led us in a prayer of two rak'ahs until the sun became clear. Then the Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed the sun and the moon are not eclipsed because of anyone's death. So when you see the two of them eclipsed, then pray and supplicate until that which is upon you of the eclipse becomes clear.
