Al-Imām al-Bukhārī narrates: Sa’īd ibn Abī Maryam narrated to us; he said: Nāfi’ ibn ‘Umar narrated to us; he said: Ibn Abī Mulaykah narrated to me that
‘Ā’ishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, whenever she heard something that she did not understand, she would refer back (and ask about it) until she understood it. And the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever is taken to account will be punished.” ‘Ā’ishah (may Allāh Almighty be content with her) said: I said, “Has Allāh the Exalted not said in the Qur’ān: ‘He will soon be given an easy reckoning’?” (al-Inshiqāq 84:8) She said: The Prophet ﷺ replied: “That is only the presentation of the account; but whoever is scrutinized in the reckoning will be destroyed.”
