Sub-Chapter (Baab)

Sahih Al Bukhari 1029

And Ayyub bin Sulaiman said: Abu Bakr bin Uwais narrated the hadith to me, from Sulaiman bin Hilal, Yahya bin Sa'id said: I heard Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Allāh be pleased with him), he narrates that

on the day of Jumu'ah, a Bedouin from among the people of the villages came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, so he said: "O Messenger of Allāh! The livestock have perished, the family and children have perished, the people have perished." Then the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ began to supplicate, raising both his hands, and the people also began to supplicate raising their hands with him. He said: We had not yet left the mosque when the rain came down, then it kept raining upon us continuously until the next Jumu'ah came, then that same man came towards the Prophet ﷺ, so he said: "O Messenger of Allāh! The travelers have become unable to travel, and the roads have been blocked."
