And Abu Nu'aim said to us, from Zuhair, from Abu Ishaq, he narrates that

Abdullah bin Yazid al-Ansari went out to seek rain, and with him Hazrat al-Bara bin Azib and Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (Allāh be pleased with them) went out, he made the supplication of seeking rain, so he stood on his feet without a pulpit, so he sought forgiveness, then he led two rak'ahs of prayer and recited in a loud voice, and he did not give the Adhan, nor did he say the Iqamah.

Abu Ishaq said that Abdullah bin Yazid had seen the Prophet ﷺ, that is, he was a Companion.
