Ādam narrated to us; he said: Shu’bah narrated to us; he said: Ibn al-Aṣbahānī narrated to me; he said: I heard Abū Ṣāliḥ Dhakwān
narrating from Abū Sa’īd al-Khudrī (may Allāh Almighty be content with him), who said: The women said to the Prophet ﷺ: “The men have prevailed over us (in attending you), so appoint for us a day from yourself.” So he promised them a day on which he met them, admonished them, and commanded them with certain matters. Among what he said to them was: “Any woman among you who sends forth three of her children (i.e., they die before her) will have them as a shield for her from the Fire.” A woman said: “And two?” He ﷺ replied: “And two as well.”
